Dr. Wang is a Professor in the Institute of Interdisciplinary Science, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. Having received his MD degree from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2007, currently, Dr. Wang is the Director of the Basic Research Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription and Syndrome, Institute of Interdisciplinary Science, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Wang served as the executive member of the Liver Disease Branch of the China Association of Integrative Medicine. (2008 to 2025) and served as the chairman of the Organ Fibrosis Branch of Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine. (2021 to 2024) His ongoing research interests are cholestatic liver disease, liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles.
