Dr. Tong, Professor of the Fourth Clinical College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, is the Director of China's National Key liver specialist and Vice chairman of Hepatology Branch of Chinese Medical Association. He graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2001, and advanced study in Thomas Jefferson University (2004-2005) and University of Miami (2015). He was promoted to Professor in the Fourth Clinical College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2006. He is a member of various editorial boards and a reviewer of several scientific journals. He had led a few national research grants for example the National Natural Science Foundation of China and National key scientific and technological project. His ongoing research interests are Chinese herbal formula treatment, chronic hepatitis B, clinical trial, Hepatitis B e antigen clearance, Hepatitis B e antigen seroconversion and Hepatitis B virus DNA reductio.
