Dr Khaled Farid is a Distinguished Professor of hepatology, gastroenterology and infectious diseases in endemic diseases department, Mansoura Faculty of Medicine. Having received his MD degree from Tropical Medicine Department, Mansoura University in 2006, Dr Farid continued his medical training at Kasr El-Ainy Hospital, Cairo University and Mansoura University hospital in the field of intervention treatment of HCC and GIT endoscopy. He became a lecture of Hepatogastroenterology and infectious diseases in Mansoura University at 2006 and promoted to professor in mansoura University at 2017 till now. His ongoing research interests are viral hepatitis (particularly HBV and HCV), surrogate biomarkers of liver fibrosis and HCC, liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. he has published many researches and reviewed many manuscripts to many international journals. In addition he is one of the faculty supervisors of the Egyptian national program for control of viral hepatitis.
