Dr. Korkmaz is an associate professor at Kütahya University of Health Sciences. She received his doctorate from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked as a research assistant in the department of infectious diseases at Eskişehir Osmangazi University and completed her thesis on the treatment of viral hepatitis. She worked as an infection specialist at Eskişehir Yunus Enmre State Hospital between 2008-2014 and has been working at the Faculty of Medicine since 2014. Shhe is a member of the viral hepatitis study group of the Turkish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology. She is a publication referee in various scientific journals.
