Qing-Lei Zeng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. He graduated and received his M.D. degree from the Peking University in 2014 with honours (was awarded Outstanding Doctoral Graduate of Peking University, et al) and distinctions under Prof. Fu-Sheng Wang from Beijing 302 Hospital (currently known as The Fifth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital and National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases, China). After graduation, he worked at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University as Chief Resident and Attending Physician until November, 2017. Dr Zeng was promoted as Vice-Chief Physician from December, 2017 and Associate Professor from May, 2020. Dr Zeng’s main research interests include management and prevention of viral hepatitis, especially hepatitis B and C. He has published more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, thereinto, 3 articles were cited by the Guidelines, and one was identified as the ESI Highly Cited Paper. Additionally, as the Vice-Chief Translator, he translated the “Schiff’s Diseases of the Liver (Eleventh Edition)” into Chinese version and published on Peking University Medical Press, and as Co-Chief Translator, he translated the “MOUNT SINAI EXPERT GUIDES HEPATOLOGY” into Chinese version and published on Science Press of China. Dr Zeng was awarded the “International Early Career Investigator Award (one of five worldwide)” by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) in November 2020.
