Dr. Marcello Fabio Maida is a Consultant Gastroenterologist. He attended the Medical School and postgraduate in Gastroenterology at University of Palermo. He is author of several scientific papers indexed on PubMed and published on high impact factor journals, and he also served as reviewer for international journals. He is an active associate of the Italian Society of Gastroenterology, in which he serves as a member of the Editorial Board of the web platform. He is also cofounder and manager of “Gastrolearning”, the Multimedia Educational Platform of Medical Schools of Gastroenterology in Italy. Dr. Maida’s research interests include several areas of liver diseases, mostly focused on clinical/practical stand points, including hepatocellular carcinoma, viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver diseases, cirrhosis and its complications and non invasive evaluation of chronic liver diseases.
