Professor Kun Xiong is the Chairman of Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology at School of Basic Medical Science, Central South University. His research interests are the modulated mechanisms of regulatory neuronal death in brain disorders and glaucoma. Prof. Kun Xiong earned his Bachelor of Medicine (Clinical Medicine) and Ph.D. in Human Anatomy at Central South University. He was a visiting scholar to the Department of Anatomy at School of Medicine, Southern Illinois University, US. Notably, Prof. Kun Xiong’s research has been funded by more than 10 foundations, including 5 National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has authored 64 manuscripts as corresponding/first authors. He also has served as a reviewer for multiple international journals, as the leading guest editor of CNS & Neurological Disorders - Drug Targets, and as an editorial member for several journals (Medicine and Neural Regeneration Research, etc.).
