Dr. Manash Kumar Paul is an expert in the field of stem cell and cancer and currently working as a scientist at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He has contributed significantly to the field of stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and lung cancer. He has revealed several drug discovery targets involved in maintaining stem cell homeostasis during injury and repair and also contributed to drug discovery. He is an expert in organoid biology and disease modeling of the lung. He, along with his group, has also published, first in vitro method for the development of lung organoids mimicking lungs from iPSCs. Dr. Manash has also been instrumental in training M.Sc and Ph.D. students in India and training students, postdocs and MDs at UCLA. Dr. Paul is the recipient of many awards that include the prestigious UCLA Vice Chancellor’s award and was nominated for Paul Boyer’s award. Dr. Paul is a member of many scientific societies (ISSCR, IEEE, AHA, ALA) and editorial member of many international journals. Dr. Manash is passionate about using new technologies for stem cell-based therapy and regenerative biology.
