Figure 1 Inhibitory effects of octreotide on Akt/PkB activity in SGC7901 cells. The Akt/PKB activity in group A SGC7901 cells was significantly inhibited after the cells were exposed to 1 µg·mL-1 of octreotide for 12, 24 and 48 h compared with that of their control counterparts (Figure 1B), which manifested in a time-dependent manner as shown in Figure 1A.

Figure 2 Inhibitory effects of octreotide on telomerase activity in SGC7901 cells. The telomerase activity in group A SGC7901 cells was significantly inhibited after the cells were exposed to 1 µg·mL-1 of octreotide for 12, 24 and 48 h compared with that of their control counterparts (P < 0.01), which exhibited in a time-dependent manner as shown in Figure 2A.
