Overexpression of WWOX (pEGFP-N1-WWOX/SMMC-7721) resulted in a decrease in the number of formed colonies compared with the SMMC-7721 and control vector (pEGFP-N1/SMMC-7721) cells (P < 0.05).
Figure 3 Overexpression of WWOX inhibits the proliferation of SMMC-7721 cells, as demonstrated by the methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay.
There were no significant differences between the parental SMMC-7721 cell line and the control vector cell line based on the P values.
