I am Jia-Ling Huang, assistant professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, with MD, and PhD degrees and balanced research and clinical experiences. I do gastrointestinal and molecular pathology to improve patient care. I also actively participate in research and education by working with clinical fellows, medical residents and medical students. I improved diagnosis of diseases of gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. I also deepened our understanding of viral infection, miRNA-mediated gene regulation and immune gene therapy. I have 22 peer-reviewed papers as a first or corresponding author; > 20 international academic conference presentation; Paper citations > 3000; 4 patents; 5 book chapters. I am a member of CAP and AMP, USCAP. I peer reviewed > 300 journal papers, > 100 grant proposals. I focus on diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. I possess teaching skills; active listening skills; communication skills/interpersonal skills; leadership skills; mentoring skills; and problem-solving skills. I enjoy sight-seeing, classic music and reading.
