Dr. Jingwan Zhang is a Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Having obtained her PhD degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016, Dr. Zhang undertook her Post-doc fellow training at the Institute of Digestive Disease, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. After four-year training, she was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2020 and subsequently Assistant Professor in 2023 at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also the project leader in a newly established biotechnology center for microbiota research, Microbiota-I Centre (MagIC). She serves as the invited reviewer for several scientific peer-reviewed journals, including Gut, Gut microbes, Science advances, et al. She is the member of American Gatroenterology Assiciation. Her ongoing research interests are basic and tranlational studies in gut microbiome and inflammatory bowel diseases.
