After completion PhD in Biophysics and Masters in Public Health (MPH), Dr. Olga A Sukocheva had an opportunity to gain postdoctoral experience at the New York State Department of Health, Wadsworth Laboratories. In 2000 Sukocheva migrated to Australia permanently and was appointed as Research Officer at Hanson Cancer Research Institute (SA Pathology, Division of Immunology). In 2010 Sukocheva was awarded CME Kelly Cancer Research Fellowship at Flinders University and joined Professor D Watson esophageal cancer research laboratory. Since 2013, Dr. Sukocheva was actively involved in teaching at Flinders University. Dr. Sukocheva is interested in identifying mechanisms that govern development of drug resistance in cancer cells. Dr. Sukocheva is employed by SA Health Royal Adelaide Hospital, Department of Hepatology.
