Yan-Bo Yu is a chief physician of Qilu hospital of Shandong University. He received his PhD degree from Shandong University in 2011. Dr. Yan-Bo Yu is both Youth member of Digestive Disease Branch of Chinese Medical Association (CMA) and Youth member of Internal Medicine of Chinese Medical Association (CMA). He is the Taishan Scholars Program of Shandong Province. Main research interests include the mechanisms of visceral hypersensitivity in irritable bowel syndrome, the mucus barrier dysfunction in diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel syndrome. He has published 35 academic papers, including 21 SCI papers (first author or corresponding author). The research projects undertaken include National Key Research and development program and the National Natural Science Foundation.
