Professor Hou-Bao Liu has been engaged in clinical work for more than 30 years, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases in general surgery and the surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumors. He is particularly skilled in the standardized diagnosis and precise surgery of biliary malignant tumors, minimally invasive treatment of benign biliary diseases, and the diagnosis and treatment of other complex biliary diseases. He committed to basic research and clinical diagnosis and treatment of biliary surgical diseases, focusing on medical innovation, and developing new materials such as absorbable biliary stents. Professor Liu served as editorial board members for multiple journals, and has published nearly 60 SCI articles.
