Takeshi Suda is a deputy director of Uonuma Institute of Community Medicine, Niigata University Medical & Dental Hospital and a professor of Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Uonuma Kikan Hospital, Niigata, Japan. His primary research interests are the molecular biology and medical therapy of hepatocellular carcinoma, physical property and clinical adaptation of liver stiffness, and nonviral gene delivery to the liver. These activities have produced more than 130 original publications in peer reviewed journals and compilation of a book for international leaders and was awarded Excellence in Research of American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy, which led to 1 Japanese Patent approval. He is a regular reviewer for several international journals in the gastroenterology/hepatology field and an associate editor of World Journal of Gastroenterology.
