I am busy clinically as well as research, and I train residents and medical students in both clinical aspects of surgery as well as research. I have about three dozen peer reviewed papers where I am the first or senior author. In total, there are currently 1,354 citations to these papers, with an h-index of 17, and i10-index of 21. I have reviewed papers for about 20 different journals including the World Journal of Gastroenterology, where I am a member of the editorial board. My research is primarily in the field of general and minimally invasive surgery. I have good leadership skills and take an active role in mentorship. I enjoy running and gardening.
