Apichat Kaewdech, MD, is a medical instructor at Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. He received the Thai Board of Internal Medicine in 2017 and a subspecialty Board of Gastroenterology in 2019. He honored a research award from The Royal College Physicians of Thailand during his residency training. He received an opportunity to present an oral abstract presentation on nucleos(tide) analog discontinuation in chronic hepatitis B patients at the Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) 2019. He is currently a member of Thai Association for the Study of the Liver (THASL)’s steering committee, serving as an academic committee. He also works in clinical practice, medical teaching, and clinical research in the field hepatology. His research focuses specifically on the novel hepatitis B biomarkers to predict the off-therapy outcomes. Moreover, he is interested in developing and validating the prediction scores in fields of hepatocellular carcinoma and combining hepatocholangiocarcinoma. Currently, He is currently conducting research on humoral immune responses in patients with cirrhosis who received different types of COVID-19 vaccines.
