Dr. Ji is an outstanding Professor in the Institute of Digestive Disease, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Having received his MD degree from Institute of Hepatic Viscera State, Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1994 and PhD degree from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1997. He has been an Attending Physician in the Longhua Hospital in 2001 and promoted to Professor and Supervisor, Chief of subject construction center, Director of Institute of Digestive Disease, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2007. His ongoing research interests are clinical and scientific research work of prevention and treatment of digestive disease by Traditional Chinese Medicine, metabolic-associated fatty liver disease, liver injury, hepatic steatosis, digestive tumor (colorectal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma). He is the Editor-in-Chief of Global Journal of Digestive Disease, associate Editor of Journal of Integrative Medicine, BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine and on the editorial board of World Journal of Gastroenterology and other journals. Dr. Ji served as the Director of institute of Digestive Disease (2010-2014) and has been the Vice President of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2014. Currently, he is also the Chief Scientist of Shanghai Frontiers Science Center of Disease and Syndrome Biology of Inflammatory Cancer Transformation.
