He was born in Aleshtar (Lorestan Province), Iran. From April 2005 he has been working as research fellow at the Research Center for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases (RCGLD), Shahid Behehsti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran. He started his research on coeliac disease on 2007 under support and supervision of his brother Kamran Rostami. Based on publications and presentations during 2010 and 2013 and 2020 he was awarded with Superior Scholar price in the 11th, 14th and 22th Research Festival of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science, Tehran, Premier Investigator in Sciences & Research Festival of Lorestan province on the June 2011, Top PhD graduates, May 21, 2016, Third rank among Young Researchers in the 18th Razi Medical Sciences Research Festival December 2012 and has obtained research grants from WHO (2007) and Iran National Science Foundation 2011. In addition he had scientific collaboration with different national and international centers and universities and published 4 books on basic nutrition and diagnosis of celiac disease in Persian in 2009 and 2010, Epidemiology of celiac disease in 2012 and medical protozoan in 2014, Gluten Related Disorders 2021 and also participate in writing of 2 book’s chapters respectively. He initiated the first celiac diseases website in Persian (www.celiac.ir). Currently he is director of coeliac disease department at RCGLD and the Internal Editor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology From Bed to Bench (GHFBB) journal.
