Professor Jürgen Stein is Head of the Clinic for Visceral and Nutritional Medicine at Hospital Frankfurt Sachsenhausen and managing director of the Crohn’s Colitis Centre Rhein-Main in Frankfurt, Germany. He graduated from University of Saarbrücken in 1991, and specialised in internal medicine with a focus on gastroenterology at Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany. Prof Stein is member of the European and American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the German Society for Internal Medicine. He is active in clinical research on the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and has authored or co-authored more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Gastroenterology, Nature Reviews in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
