After graduating Carol Davila University in 2000 Lucian Negreanu started an internship in Internal Medicine at the University Emergency Hospital of Bucharest. With a particular interest in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy he started his internship in Colentina Hospital in 2001 with Prof R Voiosu. In 2003 he completed his PhD in Gastroenterology with Prof EH Metman in Tours France. His experience at the Francois Rabelais University Tours continued in 2005-2006 with an attestation de formation in gastroenterology. In 2006 and 2007 he completed endoscopy internships in Tours France. He continued the training in therapeutic endoscopy in 2010 and 2011 in Nice France with JF Rey. Since 2011 he is the chair of the Internal Medicine II Department at the Emergency University Hospital Bucharest. He published over 50 papers in the field of endoscopy, IBD and esophageal motility disorders. He was awarded the ESGE-Given 2010 grant with a second generation colon capsule research theme and he also won a national grant in the field in IBD in 2013. He is currently associated professor of internal medicine and gastroenterology and chair of internal medicine II department of University Hospital of Bucharest.
