Professor Tomica Milosavljevic has been employed since November 1, 2018 as an internist-gastroenterohepatologist and medical director of the Euromedic Hospital. Master of Medical Science since 1983, Doctor of medical science since 1988, internist specialist since 1986, subspecialist-gastroenterohepatologist since 2001. He was full-time professor at the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade and an internist gastroenterohepatologist at the Clinical Center of Serbia, Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology (1980-2018). He served as President of the Association of Gastroenterologists of Serbia (2009-2013), President of the Yugoslav Association of Coloproctologists (2003-2007), and the Society for Digestive Endoscopy of Serbia (1996-2000). From 2018 he is the President of the Scientific Committee of the Association of Gastroenterologists of Serbia. He served as the Minister of Health of Serbia 2002-2003, 2004-2006, and 2007-2011. Since 2008, he is a member of the Board of the European Association for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and Nutrition (EAGEN), and served as President of EAGEN (2015-2016). He served as a member of the General Assembly of United European Gastroenterology (UEG) General Assembly (2012-15), as a representative of EAGEN; Member of the Educational Committee-UEG Educational Committee (2016-2020), and co-director of the UEG School for Young Gastroenterologists in Prague-"UEG Summer School for Young Gastroenterologists" starting from 2018. He served as a member of the Executive Board of WHO 2009-2012, and a member of the Standing Committee of WHO for Europe 2005-2008, as well as the President of the 57th Session of the WHO for Europe (57th Session of RC WHO Euro), Belgrade, September 2007. In 2005, he was one of the founders of the National Section (member of the Supervisory Board) of the International Association of Clinical Researchers (the first in Central and Eastern Europe). From December 2006 to 2009, he was a team leader of the three-year “Twinning project” of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Serbia with the Agency for Medicaments of France, under the auspices of the European Agency for Reconstruction in Belgrade, with the assistance of the European Union to Serbia. From 2002 to 2005. Researcher in the project of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Development of the Government of the Republic of Serbia: "Regulatory peptides, cytokines and growth factors of the neuroendocrine-immunological axis in ontogenesis, oncogenesis and digestive tract inflammation". Project no. 1752; Manager: Prof. Vera Todorovic, Institute for Medical Research. From 2003 to 2004 he was the head of the Commission for the development of the Good Practice Guide in the field of dyspepsia, (a member of the Republic Commission for the Development of Good Practice Guide, from the autumn 2003 to 2006). From 2011 to 2018 Head of the project - within the project 41004, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Head of the Project-Dr sci Sonja Pavlović, Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering in Belgrade. Main areas of scientific and professional interest: Helicobacter pylori infection, gastrointestinal microbiota, chronic inflammation and carcinogenesis, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic diseases, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
