Figure 4 Beta-carotene can prevent the process of gastric cancerization.
It influences the oxidative stress in gastric cells. Beta-carotene inhibits the process of inflammation and cancerization and nuclear factor kappa-B plays an important role. Beta-carotene prevents the gastric cancer through signaling pathways, and it can weaken the Notch pathway. All-trans retinoic acid causes Pin inhibition by blocking PI3K/AKT and Wnt/β-catenin so that the gastric cancer will not appear. NF-κB: Nuclear factor kappa-B; IL: Interleukin; EMT: Epithelial-mesenchymal transition; ROS: Reactive oxygen species; Helicobacter pylori: H. pylori; ATRA: All-trans retinoic acid.
