Data are expressed as mean ± SD. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with repeated measurements was used to analyze the longitudinal changes in biochemical markers. The longitudinal changes in serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and urinary cross-linked N-terminal telopeptides of type I collagen (NTX) were statistically significant (both, P < 0.0001 vs the baseline). NS: Not significant; BCE: Bone collagen equivalent.
