A, B: Show the pre and post-operative X-rays of a 71-year-old male with painful metastatic lesions secondary to renal cell carcinoma. The humerus was stabilized using a locked intramedullary nail with a prophylactic distal cerclage wire, excellent pain relief was achieved; C, D: Show the pre and post-operative status of a 40-year-old female with painful metastatic breast carcinoma. The painful lesion was excised and replaced with an endoprostheses, good symptomatic relief was achieved.
