In the multivariate analysis, advanced age [odds ratio (OR): 1.05; 95% confidence interval (95%CI): 1.01-1.09; P = 0.042], higher body mass index (OR: 1.11; 95%CI: 1.03-1.19; P = 0.008), and longer operative time (OR: 1.007; 95%CI: 1.001-1.013; P = 0.031) were identified as independent risk factors for deep vein thrombosis development.
