Figure 1 Comparison of the estimated glomerular filtration rate before and after hepatocellular carcinoma resection in patients with stage 4 or 5 chronic kidney disease.
In patients with stage 4 or 5 chronic kidney disease who did not require maintenance hemodialysis, the estimated glomerular filtration rate (EGFR) values did not decrease after the operation (n = 13). Furthermore, no patient received maintenance hemodialysis after the operation. The EGFR values were measured before and one month after hepatectomy. CKD: Chronic kidney disease; EGFR: Estimated glomerular filtration rate.
