Remission was induced and maintained by ursodeoxycholic acid in 85%, 83% and 92% of patients in Subgroups A, B and C, respectively. On the other hand, the rates of remission induction and successful maintenance in Subgroups D, E, and F are low, at 40%, 53% and 50%, respectively. ALT: Alanine aminotransferase.
