Binding of S-protein to the MAC complex lead to the formation of soluble MAC (sMAC). Complement component 1 (C1), mannan-binding lectin (MBL), MBL associated serine protease (MASP), pathogen-associated molecular pattern (PAMP), membrane attack complex (MAC).
