Table 1 Criteria for scoring the gross morphologic damage
| Score | Gross morphology |
| 0 | No damage |
| 1 | Localized hyperemia with no ulcers. |
| 2 | Liner ulcers with no significant inflammation. |
| 3 | Liner ulcers with inflammation at one site. |
| 4 | More sites of ulcers and inflammation, the size of ulcers < 1 cm |
| 5 | Multiple inflammations and ulcers, the size of ulcers ≥ 1 cm |
