Figure 2 Strategies targeting ferroptosis for treatment of liver diseases. Ferroptosis has been associated with various liver diseases, including fatty liver disease, acute liver injury, chronic and acute liver failure, hepatitis, liver fibrosis/cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Compounds that inhibit or induce ferroptosis have the potential to impact the development of liver diseases.
