Survival curves are adjusted for sex and age group (40–59 years and 60–79 years). A: All participants; B: Participants not receiving annual screening; C: Participants receiving annual screening. No significant differences were observed in the 5-year survival rate between the direct radiography and the endoscopy groups in both A and B (A: P = 0.249, B: P = 0.509). A significant difference was observed between the direct radiography and the endoscopy groups in C (P = 0.038).
