A, C, D, E, F and G: There were no significant differences in serum cytokine levels according to sex, BCLC stage, portal vein thrombosis, multiplicity and level of alpha-fetoprotein; B: When comparing stage II with stage IV, interleukin (IL)-8 levels showed a significant difference (aP = 0.006) and IL-6 showed a borderline significance (P = 0.051); H: Treatment-non-naïve patients showed higher baseline serum IL-6 levels than treatment-naïve patients (aP = 0.028).
