The area under receiver operating characteristic (AUROC) of IgM anti-HBc and hepatitis B virus DNA levels for diagnosing acute hepatitis B (AHB) were 0.933 (95%CI: 0.869-0.998, P < 0.001) and 0.844 (95%CI: 0.757-0.931, P < 0.001), respectively.
