Data are expressed as mean ± SD. Mean malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels and catalase (CAT) levels in renal tissue of rats (8 rats in each group). CAT and SOD activities are expressed as U/mg protein. MDA enzyme activities are expressed as nmol/mg protein. P-values < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. In the CAT group:
