The numbers of micronucleus (MN), nucleoplasmic bridges (NPBs) and nuclear buds (NBUDs) were scored on 1000 binucleated (BN) cells per subject.

¹Patients with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis exhibited statistically higher numbers of MN, NPBs and NBUDs in 1000 BN cells than controls, according to the two-tailed nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-test for the comparison of the means of independent variables.
