Figure 6 Stimulation by tectorigenin of reactive oxygen species generation in HepG2 cells. Reactive oxygen species was measured using an oxidation-sensitive fluorescent probe, DCFH-DA. Cells were treated with tectorigenin for 1, 3, 6 and 24 h, and then incubated for 30 min with DCFH-DA at 37 °C. After washing with phosphate buffered saline, the fluorescence intensity of the cells was analyzed with a fluorescence plate reader. Data are expressed as the mean of three individual experiments ± SD. Difference was considered statistically significant when aP < 0.05 and bP < 0.01 vs control. DCF: Dichlorodihydrofluorescein.
