Area under the curve (AUC) of 1.0 represents a “perfect” diagnostic test that lacks false negative and false positive results. The AUC for the 6th and 7th edition International Union Against Cancer (UICC) N staging systems and metastatic lymph node ratio (MLNR) staging was 0.692, 0.705 and 0.754, respectively.
