Figure 4 The expression of 14-3-3epsilon and VEGF is down-regulated by curcumin. Real-time quantitative RT-PCR showed that curcumin decreased the mRNA levels of 14-3-3epsilon (A) and VEGF (B). Values are means ± SD from three samples per group. GAPDH was used as an internal control for quantitative RT-PCR. Western blotting was performed to determine the effects of curcumin on the expression of 14-3-3epsilon (C) and VEGF (D). β-actin was used as internal marker for Western blotting. (aP < 0.05 vs control; bP < 0.01 vs control).
