Figure 1 Estrogen and progesterone receptor isoforms expression in gastric tissue.
PR isoforms and ER-alpha expressed in gerbil tissues are similar to those present in rats. Ovariectomized adult female gerbils were treated with subcutaneous injections of vehicle (VEH), 17-beta-estradiol (E2) alone and E2+ progesterone (E2 + P4). Gastric antrum lysates were immunoblotted with commercially available antibodies for ER-alpha, and PR. Equally treated rat tissues were used as positive control. The images show representative blots of gastric antrum of rat and gerbil.
