The success rate of the first attempt at PBS in six chronological groups of 25 patients demonstrates an overall trend towards success over time (P = 0.0393, Cochran-Armitage exact test for trend, Z = -1.7588). Success rate in the six groups respectively is 64%, 68%, 76%, 80%, 76%, and 84%.
