LD: liver damage defined as ALT > 40 (U/L); ALT: alanine aminotranferease (U/L). HBVC: hepatitis B virus carrier status. SFL: sonographic fatty liver. OR: odds ratio; CI: confidence interval; data were adjusted for age, gender, blood pressures, sugar, lipids and hepatitis C virus infection. SI: synergy index, Ref [18].
