Figure 3 A hypertrophic, evidently activated Kupffer cell with phagocytized, very thick, black pigment deposits and biliary lamellar material. The cell blocks the sinusoidal vascular lumen. Distinctly dilated Disse’s space contains a fine granular material (×4 400).
